Potential expansion of COTA/Plus zones

A message from Jenny Davis:  I have been collaborating with Bridges. They are advocating for transportation needs of Madison County. This opportunity below is so awesome.

COTA is currently updating its Short-Range Transit Plan and is considering expanding its COTA//Plus zones to the far west side of Franklin County (see map below). If implemented, this could allow Madison County residents to use COTA’s on-demand microtransit service (smaller, wheelchair-accessible vans) to travel into Franklin County for medical appointments, groceries, jobs, and more. This would make cross-county connections much easier and more affordable for our residents.

At this stage, the boundaries are still conceptual, so it’s important that COTA hears from our community about the need for service on the far west side of Franklin County.

They’ve created a short survey (link below), and I’d really encourage all of us (and the residents we serve) to take a few minutes to complete it. This is a great opportunity to demonstrate the demand for an affordable and convenient connection into Franklin County, especially since many of our residents already travel there for medical care and other essentials.
